Welcome to Golden Shamrocks!
The Golden Shamrocks Field Hockey Club is a developmental league for 6th, 7th or 8th grade Middle School Players from Dublin, Ohio. The 6th grade program practices at Karrer Middle School, and the 7th and 8th graders practice and play at the Coffman High School fields................Thank you Mr. Pusateri and Coach McLean!!!
Our goal is to teach good, fundamental field hockey skills in a positive and fun filled atmosphere, while preparing our athletes to play in highschool!
Our 6th grade program introduces the fundamentals of the sport. Time is spent developing the skills necessary to play a game. Those skills are put to test during our green and gold intrasquad scrimmages! Its fun to all learn together! Limited equipment needed, just a stick, mouth guard, and shin guards. Uniforms provided.
For the 7th and 8th graders, we have two teams, gold and green. No experience is necessary to join, and limited equipment is needed! Uniforms will be provided! All you will need is a stick, mouth guard, and field hockey shin guards ( yes, they are different than soccer shin guards!) We have a great schedule planned with games against rivals Upper Arlington, Olentangy, and more! For a more accurate schedule see
/Documents/2008 Shamrocks Schedule.docFor those looking for opportunities to learn the game before season starts, USFHA sponsors a stick starz program for those under age 12 (as of 1/1/08), and numerous camps and leagues exist for the older girls. Email us with a request for more information.

In addition to playing the game, additional events like team dinners, car washes, travel games, team apparel, and more...keeps the team atmopshere of support, and spirit strong!
Our program is based on the support of volunteers. Many opportunities exist.
Our goal is to keep our fees low, so that more girls can have the opportunity to play!
